I like to be surprised and not have it figured out in the first third of the book. I like to stay completely involved in the story. I don't need the ending to be tied up in a neat little package. It sometimes feels as if it was all rushed in the last ten pages when this happens. I would rather want a sequel! I like characters who are trustworthy and not contrived, having good interaction. I want to remember them next week. I would also like the token as it is my birthstone!Lane Hill Househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12952459499802207852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35155771.post-48851119133287829492011-11-18T10:28:39.857-05:002011-11-18T10:28:39.857-05:00Thanks for your encouraging comments, Jeanne T. I'll have to come back and visit when I have more time to peruse it. :)

Interesting thoughts on endings. I think I like endings that satisfy. I have read some endings of books and it seems like the author was in too much of a hurry to get the characters to the altar. I always end up thinking, "What happens now?" because the ending feels incomplete. :)

When I come to a book's end, I like to have the sense that characters have grown and learned. It doesn't have to be a completely happy ending, but resolution about the main issues in the book needs to be there. :)

Thanks for making me think, Lisa.Jeanne Takenakahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17259877343251555463noreply@blogger.com
