Monday Musings--a big THANKS to Barbour Publishing
I received the galleys (proofs) for my first book a little over a week ago and sent them back in this past Wednesday. I must say that the team at Barbour Publishing has been a dream to work with. I finished my edits about a month ago. Margie Vawter did a great editing job and walked me through any questions I had.
Jessie Fioritto sent me my galleys and was also willing to answer anything I wasn't sure of since this was my first time at galleys, also.
Shalyn Sattler sent me 500 bookmarks with my cover on it which made this whole dream seem more real! She also has answered my questions of how Barbour will help with booksignings and other marketing. These behind-the-scenes people at Barbour have made this whole experience a wonderful one.
And in case you haven't seen it yet, I am posting my cover again. I'm not sure who drew it, but isn't it beautiful? And it portrays the setting so well.
Thanks to everyone at Barbour!

I don't see the book cover.
Thanks for posting, Rose, and letting the loop know. My novella will be out with Barbour in March 2012 so I appreciated the glimpse into the steps ahead of me! I'll be turning my novella in within the next couple of days.
I can see the wonderful cover. . .and am SO proud of you, Rose! BTW, I also love your blog design. It captures the heart of the book of yours I'm familiar with. :)
Okay, now I can see the cover. NICE!!!
How exciting, Rose! Lovely cover.
My debut novel will be released by Barbour in July 2012. I'm so looking forward to working with their great editors. I've already been in contact with editorial assistant Linda Hang, and she's super.
I'm still happy Snoopy dancing for you, Rose. The cover is awesome, and I can't wait to get my hands on the book. Will it be in the ACFW bookstore in September?
Gorgeous cover! And I wholeheartedly agree about the marketing team at Barbour. They're fantastic. My editors are great too, although I'd love to have Margie. :) Just haven't been lucky enough to have her assigned to any of my books.
Congrats, Rose. Looking forward to the book this Fall.
